We finally saw some movement last week on the proposed tax law changes, and it was pretty big news. A ton of our favorite planning strategies got a reprieve, (e.g. the back door Roth), but there are some gotchas for taxpayers at both ends of the income spectrum. We are delving into various analyses provided by our tax consultants and will be integrating these into our end of the year tax projections for clients. We also will be using this new information for planning for future year tax strategies.
